The Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNDP Bangladesh hosted a high-level dialogue titled “Creating Economic Opportunities for the Youth of Bangladesh” at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka, bringing together government, private sector, and development partners to advance youth skills and employment.
The event emphasized the need for stronger public private–development collaboration to align skills training with labour market needs and support youth entrepreneurship. Officials presented key features of the National Youth Entrepreneurship Policy 2025, while UNDP highlighted its Futurenation programme, which focuses on skills development, job linkage, and youth economic resilience.
Speaking as Chief Guest, Mr. Md. Mahbub-Ul-Alam, Secretary of the Ministry, stressed that effective implementation of youth policies requires coordinated action across government, industry, and academia.
Representatives from leading organizations including Grameenphone, DBL Group, BSRM, Marico Bangladesh, HSBC, and others expressed commitment to supporting improved skills development and job readiness.
The dialogue concluded with a shared call for long-term partnerships to expand decent employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for Bangladesh's youth.
