Grameenphone, in partnership with Bishwo Shahitto Kendro (BSK), celebrated the achievements of more than 5,800 students from 101 schools across Chattogram through the Book Reading Program recognition ceremony held on 28 August at the GEC Convention Center.
The event served as a powerful reminder of the transformative role that reading plays in shaping informed, curious, and confident young minds. By encouraging students to develop a lifelong reading habit, the initiative continues to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for learning among the next generation.
Complementing the celebration of literacy, the program also emphasized the importance of safe and responsible digital engagement. Through dedicated awareness activities, students were encouraged to adopt positive online behaviors, while parents received practical guidance on supporting their children's digital well-being and navigating the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly connected world.
As digital technologies become an integral part of education and everyday life, initiatives such as this help equip young people with both the knowledge and awareness needed to thrive in the digital age. By combining literacy with digital responsibility, the program contributes to building a more informed, resilient, and future-ready generation.
The impact extended far beyond the event venue. Strong organic coverage across regional media outlets and leading national newspapers amplified key messages around literacy, learning, online safety, and responsible internet use, helping inspire wider community engagement and awareness.
Through partnerships that promote education, digital inclusion, and safe technology adoption, Grameenphone remains committed to empowering young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to unlock their full potential and contribute to a more inclusive digital future.
