Abul Kasem Mohiuddin Al-Amin brings close to 23 years of cross-functional leadership experience at Grameenphone and within the wider Telenor Group, spanning Network Planning , Operations, Procurement and Technology & IT transformation.<br><br>
Prior to his appointment as Acting Chief Technology Officer, Al-Amin served as Senior Director and Head of Network Services at Grameenphone, responsible for Network Planning & Deployment. Before that, he was Chief Procurement Officer (2016â2021), overseeing the companyâs sourcing and supply strategy and execution. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President and Program Director for Telenor Indiaâs Network Transformation Program and held a series of progressively senior roles at Grameenphone including Head of Regional Operations, Head of Partner Management, and Head of Operational Excellence & Efficiency.<br><br>
Al-Amin has been groomed through Telenor Groupâs flagship leadership pipelines, including the Telenor Accelerate Leadership programme and the Telenor Accelerate Change Excellence Programme, alongside Telenor Core Leadership â equipping him to lead large-scale organizational and network transformation across markets. Al-Amin led major global standardization initiatives in Telenor and a solid contribution in Grameenphoneâs operational excellence and Strategic planning.<br><br>
Al-Amin holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and an Executive MBA, majoring in Finance, from North South University. He has also completed a Management Development Program at the Lahore University of Management Sciences.<br><br>
